Preview and results
How does the free preview work
You drop one photo on the home page, pick the kind of photo and a strength, and your browser sharpens and upscales it on the spot. The result is shown at 640 px with a watermark drawn into the image, and each device gets one preview.
Why does the full version look better than the preview
The preview uses fast sharpening that runs on your own device. The full version runs our complete AI restoration, which rebuilds edges, hair, skin and texture and delivers up to 4,000 or 8,000 px depending on your plan.
Can every blurry photo be fixed
Most motion blur, focus blur, noise, fading and low resolution improve clearly. Detail that the camera never captured cannot be recovered, so a photo where the subject is only a smear will get better but not perfectly sharp.
Will people still look like themselves
Yes. Faces are restored from the features that are actually in the photo, without reshaping eyes, noses or smiles, so grandparents in an old print still look like your grandparents.
How large can I print the result
Personal gives you up to 4,000 px on the long edge, which prints sharply up to about 13 inches on the long edge. Pro and Studio reach 8,000 px with TIFF export, enough for posters and canvases. Our image upscaler page explains the sizes in detail.
Which photo types work best
Old prints and scans, phone photos, product photos, interior photos and stills from videos each have their own preset. Choosing the closest preset gives the most natural result, especially for picture restoration of family prints.
Privacy and photos
Is my photo uploaded for the preview
No. The free preview is created entirely in your browser, so your photo stays on your device and nothing is sent to our servers to make it.
What happens to photos I process on a plan
Photos you process on a plan are uploaded over an encrypted connection, processed and saved in your private history for 30 days, after which they are deleted. You can delete any photo earlier yourself. More details are on our security page.
Do you use my photos to train AI
No. Your photos are used only to produce your results and are not used to train models or shared with anyone else.
Who can see my photos
Only you, and on Studio the team members you invite to your shared library. We do not publish, sell or show your photos anywhere.
Plans and billing
Do I need a plan to download full resolution
Yes. Full-resolution files without a watermark are part of the Personal, Pro and Studio plans. Without a plan you can try one preview per device.
How much does UnblurPicture cost
Personal costs $19 per month or $9 per month billed yearly, Pro $49 per month or $24 per month billed yearly, and Studio $149 per month or $74 per month billed yearly. All plans are compared on the pricing page.
How do I cancel
Open your account settings and cancel in a few clicks. Your plan keeps working until the end of the period you already paid for, and it does not renew after that.
Can I get a refund
Payments are final, because the free preview lets you check the result first. Exceptions such as a double charge or an unauthorized charge are described in the refund policy.
Can I buy extra photos when I run out
No. Every plan has a monthly allowance that renews each billing month. When you regularly need more, the next plan gives you a larger allowance.
Business and API
Can I use the results for my store or listings
Yes, on Pro and Studio. Both include a commercial use license for product photos, real estate listings and work for clients, while Personal covers personal use only.
How many photos can I process at once
Pro handles batches of 20 photos with a ZIP download, and Studio handles batches of 100 photos plus whole folders. Personal processes one photo at a time.
Do you have an API
Yes. Studio includes a REST API with your own API key and webhooks that notify your app when a batch finishes. The image upscaling API page shows how a request looks.
Do you issue invoices with business details
Yes. Pro and Studio come with a monthly invoice that shows your business name, address and tax number.
Can my team share one account
Studio includes three seats with a shared library and two roles, owner and member, plus sign-in with Google Workspace or Microsoft and an audit log of team activity.
Acceptable use
Can I use UnblurPicture to identify a person
No. UnblurPicture is a photo enhancement tool, not an identification tool. It is not meant for recognizing people, and our terms forbid using it for that purpose.
Can it enhance security camera footage or license plates
No. We do not support enhancing faces from security or surveillance cameras, reading license plates or uncovering blurred or pixelated text. The output is an enhanced photo, not evidence, and it is not suitable for forensic or legal use.
Which photos am I allowed to upload
Upload photos that you own or have permission to edit. Do not upload images of other people that you are not allowed to use, or any content that is illegal, and see our terms of service for the full rules.
