Terms of Service

You need an account to process photos at full resolution. You must give a valid email address, confirm it with the code we send, keep your password secret and be at least 16 years old. You are responsible for activity on your account, including activity by seats you add on Studio and by your API keys. Tell us right away at [email protected] if you think your account has been accessed without permission.

We offer three subscription plans: Personal, Pro and Studio, billed monthly or yearly. Current prices and limits are listed on our pricing page. Yearly billing is charged upfront for twelve months.

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period, monthly or yearly, at the price in effect at renewal, until you cancel
• You can cancel anytime in your account; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and your plan stays active until then
• Payments are final, as described in our refund policy
• Moving to a higher plan or from monthly to yearly billing charges the prorated difference right away
• Moving to a lower plan takes effect from the next billing period
• Prices may change; we tell you by email before a new price applies to your next renewal
• Prices are shown in US dollars and may be subject to taxes added at checkout

Every plan is a subscription. There are no credits, top-ups or per-photo purchases.

Each plan includes a number of full-resolution photos per billing period, together with limits on output size, batch size and features. Every photo processed counts once, through the browser or the API, and deleting a photo does not return it to your allowance. Unused photos do not carry over. When you reach your limit, processing pauses until the next period, or you can move to a higher plan. We may apply fair technical limits, such as rate limits on the API, to keep the service stable for everyone.

You keep all rights you have in your photos. Results you create may be used as follows.

• Personal plan, personal and non-commercial use, such as family albums, gifts, prints and personal social media
• Pro and Studio plans, commercial use, such as product listings, real estate listings, advertising and work for clients

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the UnblurPicture software and website during your subscription. You may not copy, resell or reverse engineer the service, or use it to build a competing product.

You may only upload photos that you own or have the right to edit. You give us permission to store and process your photos only to provide the service to you, for the retention period in our privacy policy. We do not use your photos to train AI models and we do not claim ownership of your photos or results. You are responsible for making sure your use of the results respects the rights of others, including copyright and the privacy and image rights of people shown in your photos.

You may not use UnblurPicture, through the website or the API, to:

• Identify a person or attempt to identify a person from a photo or video
• Read, sharpen or reconstruct license plates or vehicle registration numbers
• Enhance surveillance, security camera or CCTV footage to identify anyone
• Unredact, unpixelate or read blurred, censored or redacted text or images
• Produce material for forensic, investigative or evidentiary use
• Process sexual content involving minors in any form, which we report to the authorities
• Process content you do not have the right to use, or content that is illegal, harassing or that violates another person's privacy
• Overload, probe or circumvent the security or limits of the service

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules, without a refund.

The output of UnblurPicture is an enhanced image, not evidence, and not a faithful record of what was in front of the camera. AI rebuilds detail from what a photo contains and may produce detail that looks plausible but was not in the original scene. It cannot recover detail that was never captured, and results on heavily blurred, very small or damaged photos vary. Faces are restored carefully, but results may differ from the real person. You are responsible for checking results before you rely on them, print them or publish them.

API access is part of the Studio plan. Keep your API keys secret and use them only on your servers. API usage counts against your monthly photo allowance and is subject to the rate limits in our image upscaling API documentation. We may change the API with reasonable notice, and we may suspend keys that are used in breach of these terms or that put the service at risk. Webhook endpoints you provide must be under your control.

You may close your account at any time by canceling your plan and asking us to delete your account. We may suspend or terminate your access if you break these terms, fail to pay, or if we are required to by law. When an account is closed, your photos are deleted as described in our privacy policy. Sections about licenses you granted, liability and disputes survive termination.

The service is provided as is and as available. We work to keep it running, with a 99.9 percent uptime target on Studio, but we do not promise that it will be uninterrupted or error free, or that results will meet every expectation. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill. Our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and consumers keep the rights mandatory law gives them.

These terms are governed by the laws that apply to the administrator of the unblurpicture.com service, without regard to conflict of law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live and may bring claims before the courts there. Before starting any formal dispute, please write to [email protected] so we can try to resolve it.

We may update these terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new date and, for important changes, email you before they take effect. If you keep using the service after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can cancel your plan before the change applies.
